WE DON’T NEED MORE CHURCHY LEADERS. WE NEED KINGDOM BUILDERS
By Apostle Gideon Oluwalana
One of the greatest dangers facing the modern Church is not persecution.
It is reductionism.
The tendency to reduce God’s vast Kingdom agenda into something much smaller than He intended.
When many people think of leadership, they immediately think of titles.
Pastor.
Prophet.
Bishop.
Apostle.
Evangelist.
Teacher.
While these offices are important, Scripture never intended leadership to be confined to church structures.
The Kingdom of God is far bigger than ecclesiastical titles.
A nation can have thousands of churches and still suffer from poor leadership.
A city can have countless prayer meetings and still struggle with corruption.
A society can be highly religious and yet remain deeply dysfunctional.
Why?
Because spirituality alone does not automatically create systems.
Prayer alone does not automatically build institutions.
Prophecy alone does not automatically solve societal problems.
Somebody must build.
Somebody must organize.
Somebody must govern.
Somebody must innovate.
Somebody must execute.
This is why I have consistently taught that believers must become whole.
The Church has spent decades celebrating spiritual gifts while often neglecting practical competence.
As a result, many believers have become comfortable discussing solutions they are unwilling to build.
The Kingdom does not advance through intentions alone.
It advances through implementation.
When Joseph interpreted Pharaoh’s dream, the miracle was not the interpretation.
The miracle was the strategy.
Many people could have celebrated the revelation.
Few could have executed the solution.
Joseph understood that divine insight must eventually become practical action.
This is one of the reasons God trusted him with national leadership.
The same principle appears throughout Scripture.
Daniel did not merely possess revelation.
He possessed competence.
Nehemiah did not merely possess burden.
He possessed strategy.
Esther did not merely possess influence.
She possessed courage.
Jesus Himself did not merely preach about the Kingdom.
He demonstrated it.
The future Church must produce believers who can do the same.
One of the burdens God placed upon my life is helping believers break free from narrow definitions of ministry.
A businessman creating ethical systems can advance the Kingdom.
A teacher shaping future generations can advance the Kingdom.
A doctor preserving life can advance the Kingdom.
An entrepreneur creating opportunities can advance the Kingdom.
A policymaker pursuing justice can advance the Kingdom.
A media professional promoting truth can advance the Kingdom.
A parent raising godly children can advance the Kingdom.
The issue is not whether you stand behind a pulpit.
The issue is whether God’s government is expressed through your life and work.
The next move of God will require more than gifted speakers.
It will require builders.
Men and women who understand how to translate Kingdom values into practical systems.
People who know how to move from revelation to implementation.
People who can turn ideas into institutions.
People who can transform convictions into culture.
People who can convert vision into reality.
History remembers builders.
Civilizations are shaped by builders.
Nations are transformed by builders.
The Church must raise builders again.
Not merely church builders.
Kingdom builders.
Because the Kingdom was never designed to remain inside church walls.
It was designed to influence the world.
